High School: Olympic
Sports: Volleyball, girls basketball, girls tennis
Highlights: Riley earned 11 varsity letters during her high school career for the Trojans — three for volleyball, four in girls basketball, and four in girls tennis.
Nominated by: Jeff Trainer, Olympic girls tennis coach
“(Riley) was next in a long line of ladies tennis players to qualify for state at Olympic High School for either singles or doubles. She will be greatly missed. I’m crushed I don’t get to coach Kaylani or the rest of the girls this fall.”
WSSP: As a senior, do you have any words of wisdom for the underclassmen next season?
Riley: My advice is to stay humble and to always have a positive attitude. Never take anything for granted and give 100 percent effort at every practice and every game.
WSSP: What are your college/career plans?
Riley: I will be attending the University of California Irvine majoring in film and media. My plan is to become a producer/director to help bring more diversity to the screen. I also plan on participating in club sports at UCI as well.
