KTAC hosting annual tournament Oct. 14-16

One of the longest-lasting and biggest racquetball tournaments in West Sound commences next month for the Columbus Day Racquetball Tournament at the Kitsap Tennis & Athletic Club.

Registration is open until Oct. 9 at 5 p.m.

Some changes were made to this year’s tournament, including the Open, A, B, C and doubles are limited in numbers and players may be turned away. Matches that were regulation (15 points) were shortened and will be played in a round-robin format.

KTAC racquetball professional Rocco Vega of Poulsbo recently recovers from an arm injury and challenged James Zeitler to the No. 1 spot and won, returning Vega to the top spot in the ladder. Vega will play in the Open singles Tuesday.
