Olympic College's Danielle Monzon was named the NWAC's North Region defensive player of the year and Katie Campana was selected to the first team

The Northwest Athletic Conference announced its women’s basketball All-Region teams on Thursday.

Olympic College coach Dave Hawkins was named the North Division coach of the year while Danielle Monzon was named the defensive player of the year. Monzon, a sophomore from Olympic High, was also named to the North’s second team.

Katie Campana, also a sophomore from Olympic, made the North’s first team.

For the men, Markel Banks, a sophomore from Kentridge High, was named to the North’s All-Defensive team.
