USA Swimming announced the rosters for the USA Swimming Zone Select Camp and a West Sound swimmer is among those selected for the Western Zone camp.

Andrew Renninger was named to the camp is May 31-June 3 at Arizona State University.

Renninger, a Port Orchard resident who previously swam for the Bangor Trident Swim Team and Olympic Aquatic Club, and now swims for Evergreen Swim Club in Olympia.

Renninger is currently ranked No. 1 in his age group, 13, in the Pacific Northwest, in the 500-yard freestyle, the 1,000 free, the 1,650 free, the 400 IM. He is ranked second in the 200 free, 200 backstroke, 200 IM, third in the 100 backstroke, fourth in the 200 butterfly, fifth in the 100 free, sixth in the 200 breaststroke, and seventh in the 100 breast.

Twenty-eight male and female athletes are chosen for each of the four zones (Central, Southern and Eastern). Boys must be age 13-14 at the time of performance while girls are aged 12-13.
