The West Sound Admirals added to their 2018-19 roster with another signing this week.

Cory Kane, who played seven games with the former West Sound Warriors last season, agreed to return to Bremerton and play for the newest member of the Western States Hockey League.

Kane, a 5-foot-11, 175-pound defenseman, made it official on Friday. Kane played 33 games for the Wisconsin Muskies of the United States Premier Hockey League last season, scoring 10 goals and four assists.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to be part of a new program that is dedicated to bringing competitive hockey back to Bremerton,” Kane said in a press release.

General manager Dave Daniello said Kane will be a big part of the organization.

“He is a player who can make a difference and we can build with him for a couple of years,” he said. “I believe Cory will enjoy his time here and be a productive player for us. I’m excited to see him in Admiral colors.”

Daniello recently returned from a scouting trip to Las Vegas as summer is a very active period for junior and minor league hockey teams looking for players to fill out their rosters.

Kane joins a roster that includes Bremerton’s Tyler Perry, Kyle Chambers, Brandon Dunn, and Coby Bruton as recent signees.
