It’s turning into quite a hot week for the newest Western States Hockey League franchise as the West Sound Admirals announced their fourth signing, this time in Bremerton’s Tyler Perry.
Perry played last season for the former West Sound Warriors Junior A hockey team.
Perry is the first returning player to sign with the Admirals, said general manager David Daniello in a press release Monday.
“I’m very excited to have Tyler back playing in Bremerton,” Daniello said. “Every person I have spoken to about Tyler has said he is a player I want on the team, every team needs a guy like him.
“After speaking with him on the phone, I knew what everyone meant! He is the ultimate team player, he will do whatever we need him to do. He has size, skill, and wants to be there. I’m happy to have him complete his final junior year at home where he belongs!”
The 6-foot-6, 215-pound forward said he didn’t want to play anywhere else in his final junior season.
“And also being able to play where I grew up learning the game is amazing,” Perry said. “I’m looking forward to having a great season.”
Perry is the fourth signing for the Admirals, who announced last week they would be playing in the WSHL for the 2018-19 season.
