Bainbridge has hired a new girls soccer coach, said athletic director Kaycee Taylor.

The Spartans hired Katie Drovdahl, a former soccer player at Bothell High and the University of San Francisco.

“It’s an honor to have the opportunity to work with the Bainbridge High School girls soccer program,” Drovdahl said. “I look forward to sharing my knowledge and love of the game with the student-athletes at Bainbridge and to helping them channel their skills and hard work into success on the soccer field.”

Taylor said Drovdahl came highly recommended and her high school teaching background (English) complements her experience coaching.

“Katie will bring a tremendous amount of energy, vision and commitment to develop a successful and sustainable girls soccer program for BHS,” Taylor said.

The Spartans were 0-9-1 in the Metro League 3A last season (3-12-1 overall).
