Bremerton and North Mason played to a scoreless first half before the home Knights were able to break through in the final 40 minutes to beat the Bulldogs 2-0 in an Olympic League 2A boys soccer match Tuesday at Memorial Stadium.
The Knights improved to 3-4 (4-6 overall) and sit in fifth place, two games back of Sequim. North Mason fell to 1-6 (1-6-2).
In other matches, Kingson stayed on top of the OL as the Buccaneers beat North Kitsap 6-5 in penalties. The game was scoreless after regulation and two overtimes before the match was finally decided by penalty kicks. Judah Andrews had the game-winner for the Bucs (6-1, 7-4). North Kitsap dropped a game back, breaking up the two-team tie for first, and are 5-2 (6-3).
In South Sound Conference 3A play, Central Kitsap lost 5-0 to North Thurston.
Golf: Klahowya tops Knights
The Klahowya Eagles girls gof team beat Bremerton 203 to 227 in Olympic League play Tuesday.

Baseball: Spartans shutout Roosevelt
Bainbridge beat Roosevelt 4-0 in a Metro League 3A game in Seattle.
Bainbridge took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second and added runs in the sixth and seventh as the Spartans shutout the Rough Riders.
Bainbridge’s Jonathan Kussie went 1-for-2 with a run scored, two RBIs and two walks. Theo Colgan went 2-for-4 with an RBI. James McMurray earned the win, throwing 5.33 innings, striking out six and giving up six hits and no runs.
Softball: Bainbridge bats heat up against Seattle Prep
Bainbridge followed its 16-0 win over Ballard on Monday with a 9-4 victory against Seattle Prep Tuesday in Metro League 3A softball.
The Spartans improved to 4-2 in Mountain Division play (6-2) and are set to host division-leading Holy Names (6-1, 7-2) Thursday (weather permitting) at Bainbridge at 4 p.m.
