The Bainbridge Spartans baseball team put a wallop on the Cleveland Eagles 33-0 Monday in a Metro League game at Bainbridge Island.
Bainbridge went ahead 7-0 in the first inning, added eight in the second, 13 in the third and five in the fourth in the mercy-rule shortened game.
Jonah Giblin went 2-for-4 with five RBIs, two doubles and scored five runs, No. 9 hitter Liam Kobs’ had four RBIs, Theo Colgan was 2-for-3 with four runs scored, Jasiah George went 2-for-5 with two runs and three RBIs.
Luis Vales was 2-for-2 with a triple and three RBIs, Garrett Aichele was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a double, a triple and four RBIs as Bainbridge had 20 hits as the Eagles committed seven errors to Bainbridge’s two.
The Spartans improved to 3-0 in the Metro and 4-3 overall.
Bainbridge’s softball team lost to Roosevelt 9-1.
