Port Angeles improved to 2-0 in the Olympic League 2A softball standings with an impressive 13-7 win over the Olympic Trojans Friday.
It was the 37th straight win for the Roughriders.
Port Angeles, who won the league title last season and finished second at state, fell behind early thanks to home runs by Olympic’s Molly Gates in the first inning and a two-run bomb by Kaytelin Graf for a 3- 0 lead.

But Port Angeles answered on a two-run double by Olivia Nevaril to make it 3-2 and then widened the lead to 9-4 on a two-run single by Ella Holland, a two-run triple by Natalie Steinman and a Jaida Cargo-Acosta two-RBI home run in the third.
Coupeville 7, North Mason 3
Bainbridge jumped out early and held on for a 12-9 win over Grant of Oregon at the Northwest Invitational at Mercer Island on Saturday.

North Kitsap 8, South Kitsap 5: Jordan Austin had two goals and an assist and Ryan Beatty added two goals as the Vikings beat the Wolves. NK goalie Ian Poffenroth also made 11 saves in the win.
