BREMERTON — In his 11th season at the helm of the Olympic College baseball team, Ryan Parker and the Rangers have the optimism that comes with the promise of a new season.

Parker and the Rangers are hoping to put some early-season nagging injuries to rest. Pitching and the defense has picked up steam in the early part of the season.

One of their three keys to the season is run production. “We have hit well so far but have had a hard time scoring at times,” Parker said.

The Rangers have left the bases loaded on three different occasions and more than enough runners in scoring position to make a difference in their Northwest Athletic Conference games.
