Bremerton’s Hannah Sutton finished third at the Class 2A state bowling tournament Friday.
Sutton finished with a six-game total pin score of 1,135 just one pin away from second place finisher Grace Gibbs of Black Hills. Brooklyn Boudreau of Mark Morris won the 2A title with a 1,298 total.
Sutton started slowly at Narrows Plaza Bowl at University Place but warmed up quickly by her second game. She followed her opening score of 156 with a 196 and 183. Sutton then bowled a 203, 195 and finished with a 204.
Olympic’s Marissa Nemeth finished sixth overall with a total pin score of 1,076.

Other West Sound finishers include Klahowya’s Samantha Blocher of Klahowya, 991, Samantha Stump of Olympic, 971, Emma Parker of Klahowya, 970, Klahowya’s Hannah Catt, 917, Briana Kennard of Klahowya, 891, Aubriana Wight of North Mason, 886, Maddie Bonk of Olympic, 840, and Heather Huskinson of Olympic, 803.
In 3A, Central Kitsap’s Jazmine Clewis bowled a 1,141 to finish third overall while teammate Rebecca Sharp finished with a 925.
In 4A, South Kitsap’s Abigail Kay bowled a 970 total. Her highest individual game was a 183 opening score.
In the team standings, Olympic is sitting in fourth place with a score of 4,639. Klahowya is right behind in fifth with a pin score of 4,517. Columbia River leads with 4,954.
The team competition continues Saturday with Baker games at 8 a.m.
