It’s time to put away the eggnog and get back to the basketball court.
The most bang for your buck will be Thursday’s tilt between Kingston and Bainbridge in a non-league game. Tip off is at 7 p.m. at Bainbridge.
Other Thursday games include North Mason at Aberdeen at 6 p.m., Olympic at Shelton at 7 p.m., and North Kitsap heads to the Anacortes Tournament. North plays Anacortes at 7 p.m. The tourney continues Friday.
Speaking of Friday, Bremerton is at Spanaway Lake for the Christmas Basketball Tournament. The Knights play Spanaway Lake at 8 p.m. and again Saturday against a to-be-determined opponent.
Saturday South Kitsap is at Kingston for a 4 o’clock game.
All league and conference games continue Jan. 2 to kickoff the final weeks of the regular season.
- Halfway through the season, Raelee Moore leads North in scoring as the junior guard is averaging 14.9 points per game. She’s second on the team in rebounding with 7.4. Noey Barreith leads with 7.6 rebunds per game and is second in scoring with an 11.1 average.
- Central Kitsap’s Olivia Krog leads the Cougars with an average of 13.1 points, 13.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists. Vanessa Davies is second in scoring with 12.6 and leads the team in steals with 2.4.
The most recent RPI rankings by the WIAA have Port Angeles at No. 3 in Class 2A, Kingston at No. 9 and North Kitsap at No. 14. They are the only three West Sound teams that are among the top 25. Click here to see the full rankings list.
