Eleanor Beers of North Kitsap was named for the 2A girls after her performance at the state swimming and diving championships last weekend in Federal Way.

Beers, a sophomore, repeated as state champion in the 50 and 100-yard freestyles with times of 23.65 and 50.99, respectively. She also swam the anchor leg on the winning 200 medley relay (1:50.06) and 200 free relay (1:40.35). Beers’ performance was good enough to earn her the swimmer of the meet for the second year in a row.
