The Central Kitsap Cougars girls swimming team continued its string of success by finishing in second place at the West Central District 3A meet Saturday at Foss High School.

The Cougars, who put together an undefeated regular season in the South Sound Conference, finished with 237 points. Gig Harbor won the meet with 304 points.

Haley Morkert was a double winner, claiming both the district title in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.88 seconds and the 100 free in 54.74.

Tatiana Tubberville was second in the 200 freestyle and sixth in the 100 freestyle, Taylor Sims was second in the 200 individual medley, and third in the 100 butterfly.

Other top six placers for CK include Alayna Kisiday who was sixth in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke, Chelsea Miller was fourth in the 100 free and sixth in the 50 free, Olivia Gibson was third in the 100 back.

The Cougars won the 200 free and 400 free relays and were fifth in the 200 medley relay,

The top six finishers in all events automatically qualify for state.
