Volleyball: NK claims league title, Olympic beats PA in five

The North Kitsap Vikings won their eighth Olympic League title out of the last nine seasons thanks to a win at Sequim on Tuesday.

The Vikings (10-0) won 3-0 and improved to 11-1 overall. With the win, North has the No. 1 seed in the Olympic League 2A tournament, Oct. 28 at North Kitsap.

Faith Harer led Oly with 14 kills and Natalie Lindahl had 10 kills, two aces, and five digs. Ashton Mortrud finished with five kills, five aces, and 17 digs.

In other scores, Coupeville beat Klahowya 3-0 in OL 1A to remain unbeaten at 5-0 (7-3 overall). The Eagles are in second place at 4-2 (5-6). No results were reported between Kingston and Bremerton and North Mason and Chimacum.
